Duck Hunt can be unlocked through various means, both by playing Classic Mode, Vs. Smash Matches, and he can be unlocked in the World of Light Adventure Mode.

| Up Special | Duck Jump | Flies into the air with nostalgic flapping sound. Can attack or dodge after a short time. |
| Down Special | Wild Gunman | Calls one of five gunmen who each have a different style. They can be defeated. |
| Final Smash | NES Zapper Posse | A flock of ducks flies by, and any opponentsh*t by them are set up for five gunmen to fire at. If the ducks don'thit anyone, nothing at all happens. |
