A new No. 1 transfer portal prospect sits atop the latest rankings.

The college basketball transfer portal opened a little less than three weeks ago in mid-March, but already more than 1,000 players entered in search of a new destination. There is a new No. 1 transfer prospect atop the rankings following the release of the updated top 75 players in the portal for the 2024 cycle.

Action in the transfer portal remainshecticahead of the Final Four this weekend in Phoenix. Soon the college basketball season will officially come to an end and all focuscan shift to roster management for the 2024-25 campaign. The on-going movement in the coaching carousel is also playing a significant role in the record-setting rate of transfer portal entries.

Some of the top transfers in 2024 are already coming off the board, but there is plenty of high-level talent still available, including manyfrom high-major programs. Only 16of the top75 transfer portal prospects this cycle are committed elsewhere. The spring portal window remains open until May 1.

20. Andrej Stojakovic | SF | Stanford

Andrej Stojakovicis one of two McDonald's All-Americans that entered the portal in mid-March. The Stanford freshman and son of former NBA star Peja Stojakovic averaged 7.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists this season while shooting 32.9% from 3-point range. The 6-foot-7, 190-pound small forward ranked as the No. 19 overall recruit in the 2023 class. Stojakovic departed the Cardinal following the firing of head coach Jerod Haase andis one of the most intriguing wings in the portal.

Oklahoma Stateannounced the hiring of Steve Lutz as its new head coach on Monday,but several of its top players from this past season are in the transfer portal.That group includes former top-50 high school recruitEric Dailey. The 6-foot-8, 230-pound power forwardappeared in 32 games as a true freshman and averaged 9.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on nearly 50% shooting from the field. Dailey reclassified down a year in high school before joining Oklahoma State in 2023.

18. Jevon Porter | C | Pepperdine

Jevon Porteris one of several top transfers from Pepperdine. The 6-foot-11, 225-pound sophom*ore and brother of Denver Nuggets forward Michael Porter Jr. averaged 16.2 points, 5.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists while shooting 42.5% from the field this past season. The younger Porter has two years of eligibility remaining. Porter finished second in scoring this season for the Waves. He earned All-WCC honorable mention to close out the 2023-24 campaign.

17. Vladislav Goldin | C | Florida Atlantic

The 7-foot-1, 240-pound Florida Atlantic big man is on the move after Dusty May left the Sunshine State to become the next head coach at Michigan. Vladislav Goldinwas a key piece behind the Owls' run to the Final Four in 2023. As a junior this past season, the Russian native averaged 15.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.6 blocks while shooting 67.3% from the field. Goldin is now a two-time transfer after starting his college career at Texas Tech.

16. Sean Pedulla | PG | Virginia Tech

Virginia Tech leading scorer and top assist manSean Pedullahit the transfer portal last week. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound guard from Oklahoma earned All-ACC Third Team honors this season, averaging 16.4 points,4.3 rebounds, and 4.6 assists per game on 32.5% shooting from deep. A return home to the Sooner State could be in store for Pedulla with Oklahoma leading in the Crystal Ball Predictions. Pedulla spent three seasons at Virginia Tech.

15. Cade Tyson | SF | Belmont

The list of schools already in pursuit of former Belmont standoutCade Tysonis long with a handful of power programs in the mix. The 6-foot-7, 205-pound sophom*ore originally from North Carolina averaged 16.2 points per game this season, third most for the Bruins. He also grabbed 5.9 rebounds and dished out 1.6 assists per game, shooting an impressive 49.3% from the field and 46.5% from 3-point range. He is the younger brother of former Clemson standout and NBA player Hunter Tyson.

14. Javian McCollum | CG | Oklahoma

The top individual scorer for Oklahoma this past season hit the transfer portal this week. Javian McCollum averaged a team-high 13.3 points for the Sooners during his junior campaign. He spent just one season with Oklahoma after previously transferring from Siena. The 6-foot-2, 160-pound junior guard shot a career-low 40.4% from the field and 31.4% from 3-point range this season. He averaged 2.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists.

13. Jordan Pope | PG | Oregon State

Jordan Pope earned All-Pac-12 Honorable Mention this season after making the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team at Oregon State in 2023. The 6-foot-2, 165-pound guard averaged 17.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists while shooting 37% from 3-point range this season for the Beavers. Pope entered the transfer portal this week after two years at Oregon State. He started in 63 of 64 games played during his time in Corvallis.

12. Otega Oweh | SG | Oklahoma

Otega Owehspent two seasons at Oklahoma under head coach Porter Moser. The 6-foot-5, 215-pound sophom*ore averaged 11.4 points per game for the Sooners during the 2023-24 campaign. Oweh added 3.8 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.5 steals to his stat line while shooting 49.3% from the field.He started in 28 of 32 games this season, averaging 24.9 minutes per contest.Owehentered the portalin March as the first of several transfer departures from Oklahoma this cycle.

11. Adou Thiero | CG | Kentucky

Adou Thierocould return to Kentucky as he tests the professional waters ahead of the 2024 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-8, 222-pound sophom*ore guardreleased a statement detailing his options after entering the transfer portal last week. Thiero made 19 starts in 25 total games played for the Wildcats this season. He averaged 7.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game. The former top 150 high school prospect shot 49.2% from the field. Thiero has until May 29 to withdraw from the NBA Draft while maintaining college eligibility.

10. Malik Mack | PG | Harvard

One of the top point guards in the transfer portal up to this point, former Harvard standoutMalik Mackis a prized possession for those in need of a ball handler.The 6-foot-1, 170-pound freshman led the Crimson in points (17.2 per game), assists (4.8 per game) and steals (1.3 per game) this season. Mack also shot 41.0% from the field. He started in all 24 games played at Harvard. Mack rated as a mid-three-star recruit coming out of Washington (D.C.) St. John's in the 2023class.

9. Myles Rice | CG | Washington State

Pac-12 Freshman of the YearMyles Rice entered the transfer portal after just one season of action at Washington State, helping the Cougars reach the NCAA Tournament for the first timesince 2008. Rice averaged 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds and a team-high 3.8 assists this season. The 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard finished top five in the Pac-12 in both assists and steals per game. Rice redshirted during the 2021-22 season and was forced to sit out the 2022-23 campaign while receiving treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma.

8. Brandon Garrison | C | Oklahoma State

Freshman big manBrandon Garrison, another McDonald's All-American,announced his decision to leave Oklahoma State after the firing of head coach Mike Boynton.The 6-foot-11, 245-pound center averaged 7.5 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks this season for the Pokes, starting in 29 of 32 games. Garrison ranked as the No. 45 overall recruit and top high school prospect in Oklahoma for the 2023 cycle. He picked Oklahoma State over additional options that included Arkansas, Houston, Kansas and Oklahoma.

7. Danny Wolf | PF | Yale

The leading scorer for upset-minded Yale hit the transfer portal looking to capitalize on his popularity after helping the Bulldogs upset No. 4 seed Auburn in the NCAA Tournament.Danny Wolfaveraged 14.1 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 blocks per game as a sophom*ore. The lengthy 7-foot-1, 255-pound forward was not rated coming out of Glencoe (Ill.) Northfield Mount Hermon, but expects to be a target for power programs as one of the top transfers this cycle.

6. Kanaan Carlyle | CG | Stanford

Kanaan Carlyleentered the transfer portal in March after announcing his intentions to leave Stanford following the firing of head coach Jerod Haase. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound freshman averaged 11.5 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists per game this season. Carlyle missed the first month of the schedule for the Cardinal but returned in December. He shot 38.6% from the field. Carlyle ranked as the No. 59 overall recruit coming out of the 2023 cycle. Now,the Georgia native expects to be a hot commodity in the portal.

5. Great Osobor | C | Utah State

The Mountain West Player of the Year entered the transfer portal while also testing the NBA Draft process. Utah State center Great Osobor departed from the program shortly after head coach Danny Sprinkle left to take the same job at Washington. Osobor averaged 17.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game while shooting 57.7% from the field this season. He previously followed Sprinkle from Montana State.

4. Clifford Omoruyi | C | Rutgers

Clifford Omoruyispent the past four seasons at Rutgers,but will take his talents elsewhere for an additional year of eligibility in 2024-25. The 6-foot-11, 240-pound center averaged double-digit scoring in each of his final three seasons with the Scarlet Knights, including 10.4 points, 8.3 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game (third-most in Division I) during the 2023-24 campaign. Omoruyi started in every game for Rutgers the past three seasons. A native of Nigeria, Omoruyi ranks among the top-6 in program history for field goal percentage (.549), blocks (221), rebounds (933) and single-season blocks (93).

3. Maxime Raynaud | C | Stanford

France nativeMaxime Raynaudspentthree seasons at Stanford where he developed into a talented center. The 7-foot-1, 250-pound big man averaged 15.5 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game as a junior this season. He also posted a career-high 26 blocks in 32 games played. Raynaud recorded 12 double-doubles for the Cardinal, but departed from the programfollowing the firing of head coach Jerod Haas. Raynaud won a Gold Medal with France and led the team in scoring at the 2023 FIBA U-20 European Championships in Greece.

2. AJ Storr | SG | Wisconsin

Two days after declaring for the NBA Draft, Wisconsin guardAJ Storrentered the transfer portal last week. The 6-foot-7, 205-pound sophom*ore previously transferred from St. John's to the Badgers ahead of the 2023-24 season. Storr led Wisconsin in scoring, averaging 16.8 points per game, while shooting 43.4% from the field, including 32.0% beyond the 3-pointline. An Illinois native, Storr rated as a three-star guard coming out of the 2022 high school recruiting class.

The new No. 1 overall transfer portal prospect in the 2024 cycle, Florida Atlantic standout guard Johnell Davis is on the move for his final year of eligibility after leading the Owls to the 2023 Final Four. The 6-foot-4, 203-pound guard took another step in his game this season, averaging career-highs with 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game. He shot 48.3% from the field and 41.4% from 3-point range.
